20 Years After Kargil Conflict

1. CLAWS cordially invites you to the National Seminar on ‘20 Years After Kargil Conflict’ on July 13, 2019 at Manekshaw Centre from 0900h to 1410h to commemorate 20 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas. This would be followed by lunch.

2. Besides an overview of Op Vijay, the lessons learnt and role of important elements of national power, the speakers would be addressing, inter alia, the following points briefly during the course of the seminar –

· Considering our territorial disputes, the changes in the geo-political environment and revolution in technology, what are the future threats and challenges in the mountains.

· Improvements carried out in our national security architecture post Kargil.

· Manoeuvre and fire-power - the battle winning factors,

· Synergy in Application: lessons and future challenges and responses

 

Book Release

1.  A book titled ‘Surprise, Strategy and ‘Vijay’: 20 Years of Kargil and Beyond’ would also be released during the Seminar. The book gives brief account of the various battles fought by the units, and the thoughts and perceptions of commanders on our operational preparedness for the conflicts in the future.

2. The Book also focuses on the preparedness of Indian Armed Forces to face the envisaged threats and challenges of the future.
